ALBURY TIPS
BEST BET
Race 8 No. 2: Future Fund
Third-up here off a second and a big margin win so is clearly in great shape.
NEXT BEST

Drawn well for the debut and comes off a narrow but impressive trial win.
VALUE
Race 4 No. 4: Taumata
Been in great form of late. Drawn well will take holding out late.
INSIDE MAIL - KEMPSEY
RACE 5: STEVE KEIR MEMORIAL (BM66) 1000M
Dis Is Heaven’s last four runs last prep were ’8850’. His first five this time in are ‘32421’. Three of his four career wins are at 1000m. The other one was over 1106m and that was his last start on October 27 where he beat a pretty decent Benchmark 66. Just the wide draw is the issue here. Neil Godbolt saddles up two of the stable’s most reliable and consistent horses here, namely Buck Pharoah and October Revolution, and either could win.
Bet: Dis Is Heaven to win
RACE 6: CRYSTALITE SUPER MDN PLATE 1450M
Powerful Dragon is trained by Kris Lees who boasts a phenomenal 30.6 per cent win strike-rate at Kempsey, 60 per cent when placings are added. Lees and Bullock have 209 races together at 20-odd per cent. As for Powerful Dragon, he only has to run up to his debut placing to win this. Bondi Prophet has a terrible draw but at least he’s got a big finish if he has to go back. Empress Of Milan has drawn 1 and gets in well at the weights.
Bet: Powerful Dragon to win, Daily Double 1st Leg (10), 2nd Leg (2)
The greys battled it out and Jack Duggan prevails!@clarkyhk with a nice steer for Jason Deamer and @Dynamic_WONIT. pic.twitter.com/RI376z6Ixo

RACE 7: AKUBRA HATS KEMPSEY CUP 1450M
Jack Duggan creates a lot of interest here in as much, you could say, that he is the best horse in the race. But what brings him back a little perhaps is that this is 1400m (five unplaced runs at the distance) and his first-up record is one win and no placings from seven. Taking on trust. Tony Ball has Xtra Approval flying. Like the weight but hate the draw. Bold Hoi Ho has come back well and is on an upward trajectory.
Bet: Jack Duggan to win, box trifecta 2, 3, 7, 9
RACE 8: GEOFF STEINMETZ MEMORIAL (BM58) 1450M
Havieron is no stranger to Kempsey having raced there seven times for a win and four thirds. Nice. The other thing that is enticing about this son of Dundeel is that he is ‘1433’ coming onto this race and via some rather strong 58’s. In fact, he was third to the aforementioned Xtra Approval last start. Bellzen, Aaron Bullock’s ride, is on a hat-trick. Respect. Casino Bear has a win, a second and a third from 15 starts but is invariably thereabouts.
Bet: Havieron to win
INSIDE MAIL - ALBURY
RACE 5: THE TWILIGHT HCP 1175M
Clever Art is a Mitchell Beer/Patriot Bloodstock charge whose three runs under the new management were a closing third at Kembla, a barnstorming win the Legend Of The South and a last start five length 12th of 14 at Warwick Farm. Down in class and back in distance and keep in mind he has a fabulous record at or around this trip. Kudos to horse, Eamonn’s Memory, and trainer Andrew Dale on their 10th win at start number 60 here at this track over this distance on October 26. Why not 11 today?
Bet: Clever Art to win, quinella 2, 6
RACE 6: STUART GORDON LANDSCAPING (BM58) 900M
Keysborough wins the award for best bred horse racing in Australia on Friday hands down. For starters, he is by I Am Invincible out of Oscietra who was the first foal of the great Black Caviar. Keysborough’s 11 starts were all for Team Hawkes, start 12 will be for Tim Donnelly. Long story short, Keysborough is very fast so 900m is in his favour. Tasmanian-bred Fear The Sting is hard to line-up on his Apple Isle form but he has won down there by big spaces over short trips.
Bet: Keysborough to win, Daily Double 1st Leg (2), 2nd Leg (2)
That was his race!

RACE 7: HOLBROOK BAKERY (BM66) 1500M
Bannockburn has a tidy little C.V. The Ben Brisbourne-trained son of Mikki Isle has raced 12 times for three wins and four placings. On top of that, he has been to Albury three times before for a win and a third. Best of all, Bannockburn won here over a mile on October 26. Dynamic One has finished first or second at seven of his 15 starts and has been runner-up twice in three Albury runs, one of them was his second to Bannockburn.
Bet: Bannockburn to win, quinella 1, 3
RACE 8: LEVEL ONE WINE BAR & CELLARS HCP (C2) 1400M
Future Fun was $8 into $5.50 first-up at Wagga and was most honourable in defeat, finishing off willingly to run second. Two weeks later he came to Albury and was super impressive and entirely emphatic when winning that Class 1 by three. Drawn 3, no reason to cast off. That said, his Peter Clancy-trained rival Kaida Blaze is ‘321’ this preparation and don’t let the narrow margin disguise the true merit in that Wagga win. Local Daze Off has the talent.
Bet: Future Fund to win, box trifecta 1, 2, 4, 5
