North Adelaide golf course will be back in business for play from Friday, with restrictions.
The popular course, and home for Golf SA, has been closed for the past two weeks because of COVID-19, but is to reopen following advice from Golf Australia and the state government.
With strict safety protocols to be enforced by state guidelines and club rules, GA is satisfied there is minimal risk in allowing golfers to return to fairways.
North Adelaide will join a raft of courses which have remained available for play under the same stipulations, although the back nine on the north course will still be out of bounds.
There will be a limit of two players per tee time, excluding club times when three-person groups are allowed, only one person per golf cart and separate entry and exit doors in pro shop with restricted numbers inside for social spacing.
Ball washers will not be available and there will be no sand buckets, bunker rakes, flags in holes and balls will not drop fully into hole.
While golfers will again swing back into action at the course, the City Of Adelaide council has warned it can alter its position on appropriate protocols based on advice from authorities as the coronavirus crisis unfolds.
