A four-goal second-half onslaught, including a Craig Goodwin brace, has fired the Socceroos to a 5-0 thrashing of Lebanon at a sold-out GIO Stadium.

More than 25,000 people packed into the Canberra venue on Tuesday night, a record for association football at the ground, and they didn’t have to wait long to see their first goal when Kusini Yengi scored in the second minute.

The margin stayed at 1-0 until the break, but the Socceroos blew it open with two goals in the first three minutes of the second stanza as they rolled to a big win.

ERIN SMITH rates the Socceroos performances below.
