LIVERPOOL FC has proudly shown off the rapid development of its new main stand at Anfield, releasing a time lapse video detailing the progress of its construction so far.

Since work began in January, huge strides have been made on the erection of the new stand that will increase the stadium’s capacity by 8,500 seats to 54,000.

Over 3,000 tonnes of steel have been used in the project so far to build the framework for what will become one of the largest single stands in Europe upon its completion in 2016-17.

But while the Reds are clearly onto a winner with the revamped stand, they are yet to secure a victory under new manager Jurgen Klopp. they take on Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup on Thursday morning AEDT.

Adam Peacock, Simon Hill and Mike Cockerill dissect a controversial week in the game with the rejection of Wellington’s 10 year license application, joined by New Zealand commentator Jason Pine. Daniel Garb is also on the show to chat all things Premier League and overseas football.
