Comedian Russell Brand plants kisses on the cheek of West Ham manager Sam Allardyce

VIDEO: comedian Russell Brand gatecrashes West Ham manager Sam Allardyce’s post-match interview to plant several kisses on his cheek.

WEST Ham United manager Sam Allardyce got more than he bargained for when he fronted for his post-match interview in the wake of his team’s impressive win over Manchester City.

IT’S HAMMER TIME! WEST HAM STUN CHAMPIONS

Confidence is obviously high at Upton Park at the moment after the 2-1 success over the champions, coupled with the rise to fourth on the Premier League table, and no-one is enjoying it more than celebrity fan Russell Brand.

The actor and comedian crashed the press conference to plant a kiss on the clearly shocked manager’s cheek - not once, but at least three times.

“Yes Sam, yes Sam! Give the man the credit he deserves!” Brand said.

“I’ve made it now,” Allardyce replied.

“That’s never happened before.”

It wasn’t the only congratulations Allardyce received after the match.

Rival manager, Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho, texted him to say, “Well done big man.”

Chelsea face Manchester United on Monday (EDT) and could go six points clear at the top if they win.

“Jose goes to Manchester United knowing his team will go and perform at their best and if they win it makes the gap even bigger. The result wasn’t for him. It was for us and everyone at West Ham. It will benefit him if they go and get a result at Manchester United,” Allardyce said.

How fortunes can quickly change. It was only a matter of months ago that the long-time mentor was fighting for his very future at the club after a number of underwhelming seasons.
