Adelaide won through to its third final appearance after beating Bentleigh Greens 2-0 at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex in the semi final on Friday night.
For the first time Football Federation Australia announced via a draw which venue would host the final after Sydney FC beat Western Sydney 3-0 in their semi final at Penrith Stadium on Saturday night.
Sydney and Wanderers are this season playing on various A-League ‘home’ venues this season due to stadium upgrades of their regular homes.
“For me and I said this last year, the same, I think Hindmarsh is the perfect place for a cup final.
“It’s a small stadium and I think we have a chance for a sell out, for me it makes sense.
“It’s better to play in front of a sold out crowd, it makes for a better spectacle.”
Sydney FC’s home — the Sydney Football Stadium — will soon be knocked down while the Wanderers’ Parramatta Stadium is being rebuilt.
With those clubs not able to settle on a permanent home this season Adelaide was before the draw in the box seat to host to its second final since winning the trophy in 2014 at Hindmarsh which had a capacity 16,142 crowd.
The Reds last year were forced to travel to Sydney in a 2-1 extra time FFA Cup loss at the Sydney Football Stadium in front of 13,452 fans last November.
