The 2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal was the darkest day in our cricket history, and it occurred in March 2018.

Cam Bancroft was caught by television cameras trying to rough up one side of the ball while on a tour of South Africa.

He was suspended for nine months, while captain Steve Smith and vice-captain Dave Warner were rubbed out for 12.

The trio completed their suspensions without the Redbacks winning a game during that time period.

The Adelaide Crows were coming off a grand final defeat and were looking to reload for 2018.

However, a horror pre-season camp and two seasons of poor results, coach Don Pyke departed, alongside Scott Camporeale and Brett Burton.

Taylor Walker also stepped down as captain and Matthew Nicks was appointed as the new mentor.

We thought the Tiger was done, he was dusted and he would eventually go off into the sunset.

However, we thought wrong, and he proved everyone wrong by claiming the US Masters title, he won his first major since 2008.

It’s hard to keep the G.O.A.T down.

Yep, the entire FIFA World Cup campaign, hosted by Russia.

The Socceroos were led in by Bert van Marwijk and claimed a point from their three games, losing 1-2 to eventual winner France and 0-2 to Peru.

The French would defeat shock finalist Croatia to claim the trophy.

The Power announced they would have co-captains for the first time in February 2019 and went back on that only a week ago.

It was a controversial decision and the club’s supporters voiced their displeasure, pushing the club to go back on it.

The club gave in, believing it was the right decision going forward.
