Australia vs England second Ashes Test live: Australia in charge as England’s bowlers flop on day two

An Ashes icon tore into his old side from the commentary box as the tourists struggled to make anything stick on day two.

However, former captain Joe Root steered the tourists to a reach 9/325 with his first century on Australian soil.

Aussie captain Steve Smith was also slammed at the end of the opening day of play after the hosts managed to get through just 74 overs.
