Joseph Parker lashed out at a “stupid question” after Deontay Wilder vowed to send him to sleep.

Parker looks to KO Deontay Wilder’s super-fight with Anthony Joshua next year by upsetting the American on Sunday morning (AEDT).

But the hard-hitting Bronze Bomber – now nicknamed Doctor Sleep – warned that the New Zealander is in for an early night.

“End of the day, people have things to do. They wanna come and see a fight and after that they want to go party,” Wilder, 38, said.

“So when you’re watching me don’t blink, I’m going to give you what you want to see.

“Nowadays my name is Doctor Sleep. And I’ve definitely got the NyQuil in the right hand so I hope he brings a pillow and a blanket.

“It gets a little chilly at night.”

Parker, 31, was not best pleased when press conference host Dev Sahni asked if he will be “bringing a pillow”.

He sharply replied: “Don’t ask me silly questions. That’s a stupid question, onto the next one.”

And fans were on Parker’s side as one said: “Disrespectful question to any fighter.”

Another added: “That was disrespectful.”

One agreed: “What sort of question is that like.”

But another argued: “The number of clowns thinking that was a serious question.”
