Russian Bakhram Murtazaliev poured salt into Tim Tszyu’s wounds with a brutal remark after retaining his championship belt.

Russian Bakhram Murtazaliev audibly trolled Tim Tszyu following his brutal TKO defeat of the Australian to retain his IBF junior middleweight belt in Orlando.
Tszyu was knocked down several times during the second and third round of the fight from some powerful shots by Murtazaliev before his corner threw the towel in during the third round.

Murtazaliev was hoisted onto the shoulders of one his team and was heard shouting “Who’s your daddy now?” after taking down the son of the legendary Kostya Tszyu.
However, the Russian showed incredible humility in his post-fight interview, labelling Tszyu a “warrior” before stating he’d like to collaborate with the Aussie in the future.
“I would like to wish him all the best. One day I would like to work together,” he said.
Murtazaliev admitted he “didn’t know when I’m going to stop him,” before noting he and his team “worked with our coach (on the) same combinations all the time.”
The stunning one-sided beatdown left the boxing world stunned as many believed Tszyu would bounce back in style.
Ben Damon said in commentary on Main Event: “The unthinkable, the monster upset. It has been an obliteration in Orlando. Tim Tszyu knocked down four times in a one-sided beatdown.”
Boxing guru Dan Rafael wrote: “Murtazaliev blows him away and retains IBF 154 title. An absolute ass kicking of the highest order! Complete and utter destruction.
“Not a shock Murtazaliev won, but it shocking that he absolutely destroyed him.”
Sporting News’ Daniel Yanofsky wrote: “Holy moly. Tim Tszyu has gone down multiple times in the second round. Three times. He tried fighting back and traded heavy blows with Murtazaliev. Insane.”
News Corp journalist Peter Badel said on Main Event: “I thought Tim was a little bit arrogant early. I don’t think he earnt the right in this fight to dominate.
“He just thought he could walk him down and to me when he fought Mendoza, he took his time with him he was watchful early and then he started to apply the pressure.
“In this fight he tried to bang early and Murtaliev landed three or four times and the heavy hands … this is a devastating loss for Tim Tszyu.”
The devastating result leaves Tszyu’s career hanging by a thread with no clear path back to a world title fight.
