ON THE DOUBLE

The schedule is the key to SuperCoach NBL success. Targeting players from teams that play twice in a round will give you twice as many opportunities to score points.

After every team played once in Rround 1, in Round 2 these teams all play twice: Melbourne United, Illawarra Hawks, Sydney Kings and South East Melbourne Phoenix.

United has doubles in the next two rounds.

Aim to get five double-game players on court if you can. Extras on the bench are a bonus.

If you have cash to burn then Jaylen Adams is the No. 1 target after putting up the biggest score in Round 1 – a mammoth 54 points. Xavier Cooks (38 points), Derrick Walton Jr (39) and Matthew Dellavedova (34) should all go over 70 in a double-game week, while Hawks power forward Darius Days (43 points) was huge for his owners in Round 1.

There are also great value options priced under $200,000.

Alex Toohey scored 34 points for the Kings on Sunday while Phoenix guard Owen Foxwell is the pick of the bargain bench picks to free up cash for another trade. He’s set to jump in value after lockout next weekend.

TRADE IN

1. Jaylen Adams SYD $392,900 GRD

2. Darius Days ILL $277,000 FWD

3. Xavier Cooks SYD $365,500 FWD

4. Matthew Dellavedova MEL $312,900 GRD

5. Owen Foxwell SEM $98,000 GRD

SINGLE LIFE

The other six teams are all on a single – playing once in Round 2.

Anyone from those teams can be traded out to load up with players on the double, but some are higher priority than others – trade premiums with big price tags before bench players like Ben Henshall, who were chosen for their money-making potential.

Bryce Cotton, Parker Jackson-Cartrwight and Keanu Pinder were all brilliant in Round 1 but they have done their job – now you can use the cash earned by trading them in to pick the best double-game stars. PJC is No. 1 on the trade-out list due to the Breakers’ upcoming byes.

If you started with Adelaide’s Kendric Davis or Montrezl Harrell, try to hold them on the bench for the 36ers’ back-to-back doubles in Rounds 3 and 4.

CAPTAIN CALL

Double Jaylen Adams’ Round 1 effort and you would get 108 points in two games – double that as captain and you bank 216 from one player. We would take that!

If you can’t afford Adams then his Kings teammates Xavier Cooks and Cameron Oliver are at the top of the Round 2 captains list, alongside Illawarra Hawks stars Darius Days and Sam Froling, who face the disappointing Bullets in game one of their Round 2 double.

Melbourne United play last season’s last-place team South East Melbourne Phoenix in the opening game of Round 2 – putting Matthew Dellavedova in the frame – but their second game is against the stingy Tasmania Jackjumpers.

EARLY LOCKOUT WARNING

Note the first game of the round is Thursday night, so do your trades early!
