There are two rounds left in SuperCoach NBL to decide the winner of the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton GSR 4x4 Double Cab Pick-Up valued at up to AUD $63,000 – and thousands of head-to-head leagues.

Here’s everything you need to know to get the best score in round 19.

ON THE DOUBLE

The schedule is the key to SuperCoach NBL success. Targeting players from teams that play twice in a round will give you twice as many opportunities to score points.

In round 19 there are four teams are on the double: Adelaide 36ers, Perth Wildcats, SEM Phoenix and Tasmania JackJumpers.

Trying to fill your court with double game players means trading in players from those teams before Thursday night’s lockout.

Bryce Cotton is target No.1 while Perth teammate Keanu Pinder is a cheaper option for gamblers – his scores this season range from -6 to last round’s 55 against Cairns.

Adelaide has been on the double for the past three weeks so most players already own super scorers Kendric Davis and Montrezl Harrell. There is still room for one more 36er – Isaac Humphries is on fire if you need a CTR.

It’s hard to make a case for many JackJumpers – perhaps Milton Doyle – but Phoenix has won four of its past five games and has some great trade options. Nathan Sobey, Matt Hurt and bargain Joe Wieskamp, fresh off 47 points on a single in round 18, could all deliver when it counts on a double next round.

When looking for players to trade out, it’s time to part ways with anyone from the Brisbane Bullets, NZ Breakers, Sydney Kings and Melbourne United – who all play singles for the last two rounds.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright (rib) and Josh Bannan (concussion) are also under injury clouds after both missed the second game of their team’s round 18 double.

In round 20, the final round of the season and SuperCoach NBL grand final week, Cairns Taipans and Illawarra Hawks are the only teams on the double. If you have already qualified for the grand final in a head-to-head league and don’t play this week, you could get a jump on your opponent by trading in players from those teams this round.

CAPTAIN CALL

With the 36ers on their last double of the season, Kendric Davis is gunning for another 100-plus score. Bryce Cotton is the best chance to topple him. If you need to pull something out of the bag to win a knockout final, you could take a chance on Montrezl Harrell or Keanu Pinder.
