Adelaide 36ers sharp shooter Anthony Drmic is seeing the same surgeon as Crows captain Taylor Walker to relieve him of plantar fascia pain in both feet next week.

Drmic has called an end to his state league season with the Southern Tigers and will have surgery to ensure he is ready for the start of the 36ers’ pre-season training in August.

He has been playing and training through increasing levels of pain for the past eight months and has been forced to go under the knife.

Drmic will have right foot surgery next Thursday and his left foot operated on two weeks later.

“Basically he (doctor) will go in and surgically snap them,” Drmic said on Friday.

“Then they take three weeks to heal so I should be good to go for pre-season.

“The worst thing about it is I’m getting the pain in both feet so I have to have them both done.

“It is the most annoying injury I’ve had. You can do everything like running and jumping but the pain gradually gets worse, even walking hurts.

“I’m seeing the same surgeon as Tex Walker so I just want to go and get it fixed and start pre-season in August.”

Drmic said he didn’t bother watching the NBL finals after the 36ers slipped from grand finalist to outside the top four this season but he has been tuning in to the NBA play-offs.

The Sixers are closing in on announcing a host of signings for next season and reports have linked them to 33-year-old Australian guard Daniel Dillon who has most recently been playing in France.
