The young guns of Australian rugby won’t know if they have made the Australian schools and under 18s team until later this month but the top players at th Australian schools champiosnhiops have been revealed.
These players are the ones the coaches, managers and selectors believe have stood out and stood up during the tournament on the Sunshine Coast.
The final day of the Australian championships was one to remember as were the perfomances of a number of young guns.
As the dust begins to settle for another year we reveal which players stood tall for their respective teams and who won th major awards at the 51st Australian schools rugby championships. .

Queensland I head coach Ben Cameron said a host of his players would be pushing for Australian selection.
“Gavin Wilson-Tyers was huge again today, I think Cyrus Suniula’s efforts at the scrum has been one of the best at the carnival,” he said.
“Lane Edmonds has been unreal, as has the work of our number eight Tremayne Patelesio who was really physical throughout.
“Both Tannar Baker and Luke Thornton in the back row were huge, Jeremiah Patea was great amongst our exciting backline, Brock Coombes filled plenty of roles, our captain Angus Tagicakibau led from the front in every game so from one to 23 everyone put in a shift.
“A special mention to Rohan Nichol who was in hospital for the opening days with a virus but he stepped up really well against NSW Juniors.”
