CYCLING great Anna Meares is among seven athletes set to be honoured with induction into the SA Sport Hall of Fame.

The dual-Olympic gold medallist and 11-time world champion retired from competition in 2016 as the most decorated female track cyclist in the history of the sport.

Meares, who was born in Queensland but relocated to Adelaide as part of the Australian Institute of Sport cycling program, was the first Australian to win individual medals at four consecutive Olympics.
