The win means Mailata is the first ever Australia to play in and win a Super Bowl and as the celebrations commenced, the 27-year-old only wanted to soak it up with one person.

As Mailata walked away from the podium following his post-game press conference, his wife Niki was talking to Nine News when the hulking offensive tackle interjected.

“I’m on a time schedule you know, I’ve got to go shower you know … I’m taking my wife with me,” Mailata said while laughing.

Moments after the Super Bowl came to an end, Mailata was at a loss for words as he and his Eagles teammates celebrated what they’d just achieved.

“Usually I have the right words to say, but I don’t know what to say right now. It’s surreal,” he said.

After being told the win had made him the first every Australian to play and win a Super Bowl, he simply before replying: “That I like. That’s pretty cool.”

Of course it didn’t take long before Mailata was asked if he would be celebrating in true Australian fashion by doing a shoey.

“Absolutely not. Not in these shoes,” he said while shaking his head.

He sealed the famous victory with a kiss from his partner.

The win was a one-sided beat down with the Eagles storming away to hold a 24-0 halftime lead before the Chiefs scored some consolation points.

Mailata said the offensive line took control of the game because they simply wanted it more and knew what they had to do.

“You’ve got to want to. You’ve got to want to do that. You’ve got to want to be more physical. That was a great defence we were going up against, so we knew we had to answer that call, and that ain’t easy,” he said.

“You have to have the want to, and you have to have the guys, and we do. So, it was a tough game, but we got there.”

As a newly minted Super Bowl champion, Mailata’s value is set to explode.

The 27-year-old is not just an incredible force on the field but is also a marketing phenomenon.

His deal with Philadelphia expires in 2028 and his next contract is expected to see him earn beyond the $300 million mark in his career.

Mailata also has sponsorship deals with brands such as Ford, First Trust Bank and Johnny Bigg, but with his booming international stardom, even more deals are coming.

Sports marketing expert Tristan Hay says the Aussie’s value on and off the field is only going up.

“Jordan has such a big presence, he stands out physically but also connects culturally in a market that is dominated by athletes and influencers,” Hay told Code Sports.

“He is charismatic and reflects that easygoing Aussie attitude that the US loves. Most important of all, his career is on an upward trajectory.

“He is still relatively new to the sport and continues to get better and better each season. He is definitely an athlete that I think can really make an impact both here and in the US.”

Mailata’s rise has been a sight to behold and he’s proven he’s only getting better, watch out next season.
