Patty Mills has made NBA history, becoming the first player ever to start a season shooting a perfect 10 three-pointers from as many attempts.
The Australian achieved the feat in the Brooklyn Nets’ comeback 114-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday (AEDT).

Nets star Kevin Durant led the charge with 37 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists as he notched up the 13th triple-double of his career to secure his team’s first win of the season.
Mills carried on where he left off in Brooklyn’s opening match against the Milwaukee Bucks, in which he nailed seven three-pointers — giving him 21 points for the match and a 100 per cent conversion rate from three-point range.
The 33-year-old’s hot streak continued in the game against Philadelphia, where he drained three shots from beyond the arc to keep his perfect shooting record to start the season intact.
He finished with 11 points, two rebounds and two assists but it was his perfect three-point shooting that captured the attention of fans and statisticians.

In fact, he broke his own record from the start of the 2013-14 season when he was playing for the San Antonio Spurs, which he began with eight consecutive three-pointers without missing.
Before that, the last time a player started a season with eight straight three-pointers was in the 1997-98 season.
Viewers were on the edge of their seats as Mills kept his incredible shooting accuracy from long range going against Philadelphia.
The TV commentator was delirious as Mills nailed a wide open three-pointer at Wells Fargo Center.
“Does the streak continue?,” he asked, before exclaiming: “Yes it does! Patty Mills is not human!”.
