Washington Wizards star Kyle Kuzma has divided the NBA with a pre-game fashion choice.

The NBA is known for some bold choices when it comes to fashion and the 26-year-old Wizards forward is no stranger to the limelight.

But heading into the Wizards clash with the Charlotte Hornets — a 109-103 loss on Monday night, Kuzma brought out the biggest pink jumper the world had seemingly ever seen.

While the difficulty in finding an oversized sweater when you’re a 208cm giant with a 214cm wingspan is one thing, wearing to an NBA game is another.

And it didn’t escape the attention of the NBA world as everyone became a critic about the $1659 jumper.

“Ain’t no f – king way you wore that!!!”Lakers star and former NBA championship winning teammate LeBron James commented under Kuzma’s post on Instagram. “I’m not pressing the like button cause this is outrageous Kuz!”

Similarly, Lakers centre Anthony Davis commented: “You’re outta line sir!!!!”

Former NBA champion J.R. Smith wrote: “Man hellll nawwwwwww.”

NBA free agents Isaiah Thomas and DeMarcus Cousins chimed in, adding, “Come on kills … lol that one ain’t it haha” and “Cmon bro. S*** getting outta hand now,” respectively.

But actor O’Shea Jackson said Kuzma was probably going for comfort above anything.

“Bruh is probably cozy as hell,” he tweeted.

GQ also said the sweater was “actually good”.

The NBA Paint Twitter handle also tweeted “For every 25 likes this gets, I’ll make Kuzma’s sweatshirt bigger.”

It made Godzilla size as the post got 41,000 likes.

Kuzma replied: “This is gold”.

It wasn’t the only account that trolled Kuzma however.

Kuzma did try and defend the look however, telling James the look is “fire” and others that “it’s cold out.”

But Kuzma is no stranger to fashion, speaking with Boardroom last month about his love for new looks.

“Clothing has always been a big thing to me,” he said. “Obviously, I love fashion and it’s a way for me to put my creativity on the line and also generate a business. Life is all about art, and I think the first impression in life is always what you wear.

“And I always look at fashion not as I’m just putting on clothes, but I’m putting together a story and putting together a look that when you see me, it’s a conversation piece. It’s something we can start a conversation over and talk about. There are just so many outlets that fashion brings.”

Kuzma has been in the news recently, having hit back at a Cleveland TV station who hypocritically captioned a video with the statement “won an NBA championship thanks to LeBron”.

He replied: “City of Cleveland we have something in common — nice too meet you.”
