IF A’Shawn Robinson gives you this response to a question, it is probably best to stay quiet for the rest of the interview.
Standing at 193cm and weighing an enormous 145kg, the University of Alabama tackle is an incredibly intimidating figure. And with a strong opinion to go with his hefty frame, Robinson may be one of the most feared interviewees among college football media personnel.
During a scheduled media day ahead of Tuesday’s National Championship game against Clemson, Robinson was asked a rather provocative question by an interviewing journalist.
“Another big game, another huge media event. Do you guys ever get sick and tired of answering the same old questions?” he said.
The question instantly backfired when Robinson gave the most brutally honest answer.
“Yeah, we don’t really like media. I mean some of the guys are you know happy, smile. Me personally, I don’t really like... I mean no offence, I don’t really like you guys,” Robinson said.

It is no secret that Robinson holds a strong disdain for the media. He was photographed late last week while being interviewed at yet another media day.
His face tells the whole story.

As one of the best defensive tackles in the college system, Robinson could likely find himself playing in the NFL in the coming years, where the media demands on athletes are twice that of the college level.
He will need to find a way to handle those troublesome journalists sooner or later.
