Former AFL star Wayne Carey has revealed why he has left the country and taken his kids out of school after an alleged toilet tryst.

Former AFL star Wayne Carey has left the country with his family to “escape from reality” after making headlines for an alleged toilet tryst.
Carey went viral in July after footage filmed at Toorak Cellars in Armadale, showed him following a woman out of a bathroom.
Both Carey and Ashton have denied any wrongdoing, with the Kangaroos legend saying it was a breach of privacy and “slut shaming”.
Carey also said what had happened to them should be looked at on the same level as when racist abuse is directed at players.
While Aston labelled it a “deliberate act of bullying” and said she was continuing to consult with lawyers.

As the recording unfolded, a voice behind the camera can be heard saying, “She looks embarrassed” as a woman left the bathroom, before a second added, “What’s he (Carey) doing in there?”
Carey and the woman in the video, marketing executive Kate Aston, both hit out at the footage as it made headlines, with the premiership star labelling it cyber-bullying.

And now the North Melbourne great has revealed he has left Australia, taking his children on holiday to an Asian country to “escape”.
“Couldn’t be better where I am,’’ Carey said on Sam Newman’s You Cannot Be Serious podcast this week.
“No one knows where you are, and where I am, who I am. Just a beautiful part of the world this is.
“I’m not Australia’s most wanted at the minute. Anyone who wants to escape from reality, take four children, put them on a plane and if you think you’re escaping from reality, you’re kidding yourself.”
Newman hinted that Carey was holidaying in Malaysia as he went on to explain the reason behind Wayne’s sudden trip abroad.
“Just withdrawn from the public arena for the time being, just to gather yourself,” Newman said.
“You’ve got on a plane with your four children and you’ve left the country.”
In response, Wayne cheekily replied: “I’m not going to be on Banged Up Abroad.”
Carey also added that he was away to “get out of the mainstream”, and that he had taken his children away despite it not being school holidays.
“I’ve pulled the kids out of school and said let’s do it now. One, because it’s not as busy, two, we’ll make it educational,” Carey said.
The latest update comes after the 54-year-old revealed following the viral video, he’d been given the nickname ‘toilet duck’.
Carey, is affectionately called Duck by his friends, including Newman.
But the nickname ‘Toilet Duck’ has originated from a footy fan forum on Reddit.
It is a play on the name of the US toilet cleaning brand, Toilet Duck. The American brand’s bottles typically have a neck that is shaped like that of a duck’s.
Carey and Ashton continue to consult with lawyers as fallout from the video continues.
