WHEN you walk into a press conference or an interview as a journalist it’s imperative you’re well prepared and well researched.
A Perth journalist made an unfortunate blunder in Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge’s post-match press conference on Saturday night, asking whether former Bulldog Will Minson would be considered as a potential support for ruckman Tom Campbell.
“Will you considering bringing in Will Minson to support the other ruckman (Tom) Campbell?” a journalist asked.

A shocked Beveridge, who is renowned as one of the nicest guys in footy, responded in typical Beveridge fashion, refusing to blast the journalist.
“That’s going to be tough mate, he’s retired,” he said.
All I want to say is I'm fresh, well rested and ready to go. #anythingispossible thanks for the vote of confidence!

“You don’t know that? Sorry, he’s retired mate. He’s finished up, Will he was an outstanding servant of our footy club.”
Beveridge then went on to update the journalist on the availability of the club’s other ruckmen, including Jordan Roughead who he said won’t be back until mid-year.
But Minson saw the light side of his apparent “return” to football.
Minson, who retired at the end of last season, tweeted his response to what had become a social media sensation.
“All I want to say is I’m fresh, well rested and ready to go,” he wrote.
“#anythingispossible thanks for the vote of confidence!”
