Damien Hardwick cracks another gag about his wife at Richmond press conference
DOES Damien Hardwick have a career in stand-up comedy after coaching? He was cracking gags at today’s press conference — not for the first time. WATCH THE VIDEO
TWO months ago Damien Hardwick was fending off questions about his job.
Today he was cracking gags at his weekly press conference. That’s what happens when you win eight of nine games.
The joke was set up by a reporter asking a question about how Richmond’s defence has improved dramatically but the forward line still has its problems.
Hardwick admitted he would like an extra two goals a game, then dropped his zinger.
It’s not the first time he’s done it — and in the Hardwick household the punchline would have sounded strangely familiar.
FREO CLASH: TIGERS COULD PLAY THREE RUCKS
We’re not sure what his wife Danielle thinks of the Richmond coach’s comedy stylings, although to be fair the butt of the jokes is actually himself.
The Tigers players will feature in their annual comedy day on Sunday at Melbourne’s Comics Lounge — no word if Hardwick is the headline act.
