PORT Adelaide star Robbie Gray is out of AFLX after reporting knee soreness.
The Power’s best player, and triple club champion and four-time All-Australian, has withdrawn from Patrick Dangerfield’s Bolts team and been replaced by club teammate Tom Rockliff.
The 30-year-old will also miss the Power’s intra-club match at Alberton Oval on Friday.
Port insists Gray’s injury is only minor and that he is a chance to play in the club’s opening JLT Community Series match against Adelaide in Port Pirie on March 2.
Brilliant forward/midfielder Gray was selected by Bolts captain Dangerfield at pick 15 in last week’s inaugural AFLX draft.
Dangerfield requested Rockliff, who has recovered from end-of-season shoulder surgery, replace Gray in his 14-man team for this year’s AFLX tournament, which will be held at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Friday, February 22.
