PORT Adelaide forward Todd Marshall has taken immediate and indefinite leave from the club following the death of his father, Robert.

Marshall, 19, will not be available for selection during his time off, which he will spend with family in Deniliquin in NSW.

Marshall has been an important player for the Power this year with nine goals from the first four matches of the season.

He missed the Geelong match due to concussion.

He signed a two-year extension last month which secured him at the club until the end of the 2020 season.

Marshall posted this emotional tribute to his late father, Robert on Instagram with the caption “Will never lose this moment. I love you Dad, watch over us with Mum.”
