ROBIN Nahas is known for his work at ground level but he showed yesterday he can get off the ground — way off the ground.
Nahas has made seven senior appearances for North Melbourne this year and is fighting for his AFL career. He did his chances of an AFL recall no harm with a spectacular leap in the VFL.
Nahas, who at 176cm is North Melbourne’s shortest player, used a Box Hill defender as a stepladder to take an incredible mark in the second quarter.
It was one of six marks for the small forward who also had 18 disposals and a goal, but Werribee fell to the Hawthorn affiliate by 37 points.
“Like the team, I thought I had a game of two halves,” Nahas told the Kangaroos website.
“My first half I thought went well, but in the second half … I’ve just got to take my shots on goal.”
Unfortunately for Nahas, there is no prize for mark of the year in the VFL.
