GIANTS midfielder Tom Scully is confident that volatile teammate Toby Greene will have a big finals series.
The forward has been charged by the match review panel five times this season and was involved in one of the most controversial clashes of the season when he planted his boot into the face of Bulldog Luke Dahlhaus in Round 21.

But Scully says the attention Greene has received is water off a duck’s back and just drives his game to greater heights.
“One thing I know about Toby is he’s the most competitive guy I’ve ever played with,” Scully said.
“He just doesn’t want to get beaten.
“His attitude towards the contest is the best I’ve seen. Ask anyone around the club, he’s our most competitive guy.”
Greene became public enemy No.1 in Melbourne after the Dahlhaus incident.
Even before the clash, Bulldogs supporters were booing relentlessly, but when he was reported it went up another notch.
Scully said the booing just spurred Greene on.
“I don’t think the attention affects him at all,” Scully said.
“He thrives on the adversity. It hasn’t affected him too much if at all.
He has that swagger about him and he’s tough and hard and can back it up. He’s not afraid to walk the walk.
“Everyone has been really good and rallied around him in recent times and the club has been very good with him and made sure he’s OK.
“He’s had an interesting year but he’s been able to cope with the adversity.”
Greene was one of the few players who could hold their head high after the 44-point belting from Geelong last weekend. Scully, on the other hand, put in his worst performance this year with just 13 touches.
