Already one of the most popular players in the AFL, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti’s revelations about his harsh upbringing have gained him even more fans.
In an interview with the Sunday Herald Sun, the Essendon star bravely retold his story of growing up on the Tiwi Islands before meeting an incredible woman who changed his life forever.
The praise for the 26-year-old’s inspirational story, which has still been challenging even after becoming a football hero, has come in from all areas of the community this week.
