Former Adelaide Crows skipper Taylor Walker has jokingly suggested his club should win the flag if the AFL is cancelled due to coronavirus – on alphabetical order.

Adelaide Crows forward Taylor Walker believes the club could have claim to the 2020 AFL premiership if the season gets cancelled.

The former skipper jokingly tweeted out the Crows should be awarded the flag through alphabetical order.

“If we follow the NBA path and don’t play games and they get suspended … surely whoever sits at the top of the ladder currently wins the premiership? #alphabeticalorder,” he tweeted.

That wouldn’t be good for the Crows’ rivals Port Adelaide, which would finish the season in 13th position, while the Western Bulldogs would finish as wooden spooner.

Bulldogs jet Taylor Duryea put forward an alternate suggestion.

It is currently uncertain whether the AFL’s opening round will be played in front of fans or at all.
