International stars Michael Vaughan and Joanna Jedrzejczyk pin hopes on Adelaide Crows

The Adelaide Crows have some new fans in the international sporting community. And one of them has no doubt they will be returning to the AFL Grand Final this season as he heads back home for the upcoming Ashes series.

The Adelaide Crows have some new high-profile fans from the international sporting community.

And one of them has no doubt they will be returning to the AFL Grand Final this season.

Former England captain and now respected cricket commentator with Fox Sports Michael Vaughan shared a photo of himself in his Crows guernsey on Instagram, just before flying home to the UK after a solid Australian summer.

“Off home with my @adelaide_fc jumper well and truly packed ... Good luck this season team ...#Australia ... Backing us to get to the Grand Final this year ... #NoBrainer #Adelaide #weflyasone,” he captioned the photo for his almost 190,000 followers.

When questioned by a fan why he didn’t support crosstown rivals Port Adelaide, Vaughan responded like a true Crows fan.

“Nah... they are useless !!!” he wrote on social media.

Vaughan has been sharing his new-found love of Aussie rules and the Crows this season during his stints commentating the Big Bash cricket.

His farewell message came as the Crows hosted another international sports star at West Lakes on Tuesday, Polish mixed martial artist Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

The former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion said on Instagram she was in town to visit Adelaide-based friend and former World Muay Thai Council world champion and K-1 champion Paul Słowiński, “who’s strongly supported me and my sports career”.

She is hosting a striking seminar at Arruda BJJ in Edwardstown on Tuesday night before moving on to Melbourne.
