Another Adelaide Crow is set to fly the nest north, with Hugh Greenwood increasingly likely to accept an offer to go to the Gold Coast Suns.

The former basketballer, who has played 51 games for the Crows since being signed as a Category B rookie, is expected to soon pen a deal for at least three years.

The 27-year-old had told The Advertiser of his desire to stay in Adelaide, but the Crows have not been willing to offer him the length of contract that he desired, only a two-year deal.

The Advertiser tried to contact his manager Michael Oakes on Monday. Greenwood himself has been in the United States on holiday.

At West Lakes there is a view that it is now very likely that Greenwood will not be at the club next season.

It comes a day after fellow big-bodied midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen informed the Crows that he wanted to go to the Brisbane Lions after eight seasons and 39 games at Adelaide.

Greenwood was among the Crows players who took to social media to wish him the best.

“Two best mates constantly pitted against one another. Even tho the #s always showed we were better together. Love you brother, all the best,” Greenwood wrote on Instagram.

Veteran ruckman Sam Jacobs is set to join GWS as a free agent, Alex Keath has nominated the Western Bulldogs as a preferred destination, Eddie Betts is expected to return to former club Carlton and Josh Jenkins and the Crows have agreed to part ways.

Star midfielder Brad Crouch could all also leave in a Crows off-season exodus and has also been linked to a big-money move to the Suns.
