COACH Don Pyke says captain Taylor Walker and vice-captain Rory Sloane will today be named in the Crows squad to play GWS at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

And he declared he was “very confident” the star pair would play in the club’s premiership season opener at home against the flag favourite.

“They got through (training today) really well, so we’ll name them this afternoon,” Pyke said.

“We’ve still got three days to the game and we are very confident both those guys will come up, which is good.”

Key forward Walker has been in doubt with a tight hamstring while Sloane did not play in the JLT pre-season series after suffering a fractured eye socket at training.

Pyke said key defender Jake Lever had recovered from a strained hamstring and would also be named in the squad.

However he said Lever was no certainty to play against the Giants and could be given a run in the SANFL to regain full fitness.

Pyke confirmed former Giant Curtly Hampton would make his Crows debut against his former club.
