Crows co-captain Taylor Walker is confident that Alex Keath will be fit to face the West Coast on Sunday

Alex Keath should be right to face West Coast and its potent forward line, according to Crows co-captain Taylor Walker, who was also excited by what he saw from another young Crow.

Crows co-captain Taylor Walker says Alex Keath is a realistic chance to return to face West Coast at Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday.

Keath, 27, missed the Crows past two matches with an ankle injury.

“He will obviously have to get through this week, we’ve got our session on Thursday and I think he’s endeavouring to play on the weekend to be travelling over to Perth,’’ Walker told Triple M’s Roo and Ditts on Tuesday morning.

“There’s some big key forwards he needs to stand.”

Keath had played every game of the 2019 season until he was struck down by the injury before the Crows 27-point loss to Carlton at the MCG.

He was then ruled out of Adelaide’s impressive 22-point victory over St Kilda at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

Walker, who returned to form with four goals against the Saints, believes the Crows can cement a place in the finals as he aims to close out the minor rounds with good wins in the club’s last three games.

After facing West Coast, the Crows meet Collingwood at home and the Bulldogs away in Ballarat.

“For us to get into the finals, we’ve got win and we do need a bit of momentum, a bit of confidence up and we start playing well and we’ll deserve to be there,’’ Walker said.

The co-captain also talked up Adelaide teenager Darcy Fogarty and his long bomb from outside the 50m arc in the fourth quarter against St Kilda.

“It was good, it was good to have him back, he’s huge (193cm) he’s a big boy, he just competes, beautiful skills and not afraid to jump into a pack or lead the way he’s going to be great for us,” Walker said.
