THE Adelaide Crows are staying local for now after last year’s contentious pre-season camp on the Gold Coast last January.

The Crows, who spent most of last year dealing with the fallout of the Queensland camp that upset many of the players, will keep it simple and have some fun as they complete the year.

They will have a three-day trip starting on Monday which will have them play paintball at Kuitpo Forest, play beach cricket and volleyball at Normanville the following morning and then make a visit to the Yankalilla Football Club.

There will still be a strong focus on physical training, and the trip will conclude with a training session at Noarlunga Oval on Wednesday.

The Crows’ SA trip comes as Port Adelaide has just announced it will finish its pre-Christmas training schedule with a trip to Queensland, where it will be hosted by the Noosa Tigers on the Sunshine Coast.
