Adelaide Football Club has revealed its new guernseys for the 2020 AFL season, but one particular element has divided fans.
The Crows’ new clash strip – which was unveiled online yesterday alongside its home design for next year – maintains the predominantly white colour scheme, with the thin tri-colours wrapping around it.
However, there has been two subtle changes made – the addition of a white Crow emblem emblazoned on the centre of the jumper, and also thin red rings incorporated into the arm collars.
There were no significant alterations made to the team’s home guernsey.
Some Adelaide supporters questioned on social media why the club had persisted with using a largely white colour scheme for its away strip.
Why are we still persisting with white? No other team without white as a team colour still has a white clash guernsey. None. White is not a Crows colour.

“Not a fan of the white, or the seagull on the front... why can’t we select from our back catalogue of indigenous guernseys for a clash strip depending on who we are playing?’ Twitter user Pete Nash wrote.
However, others didn’t seem fazed by the new look.
“Don’t mind it, so glad you guys didn’t try and do a 2017 style alternate strip,” Peter Nanz wrote.”

One eagle-eyed fan even pointed out the new clash jumper was actually one of the failed choices the club used in a 2017 poll to try and determine the best design for the 2018 season.
Adelaide will kick off its season at home against Sydney in round one, on Saturday, March 21 before playing away - yet still at Adelaide Oval - against Port Adelaide in the Showdown the following week.
