Adelaide Crows offer some comic relief to fans

AS Adelaide’s season-long injury woes continue, the Crows have channelled popular TV comedy Seinfeld for some laughs. Should they stick to footy? Watch the video and tell us what you think.

GIVEN the Crows’ current injury woes, we can probably forgive their ever-growing media department for turning its focus to giving Adelaide fans some comic relief.

The club overnight released a video of club mascot Claude the Crow taking time out from his usual zany pre-game antics to play the role of Kramer while recreating a memorable scene from the popular 1990s US sitcom Seinfeld.

The production — also featuring two-time Crows premiership player turned club marketer Matthew Robran — has received a wideranging response from fans who are loving and loathing in equal measure.

It comes as the club faces increasing backlash from fans and the media for its reporting of injuries and as the owners of Etihad Stadium announce a name change to Marvel Stadium from September after locking in a new eight-year deal with the Walt Disney Company.

Watch the original Seinfeld clip and make up your own mind, but we can’t see Claude getting an invite to Cannes any time soon.
