Adelaide Crows get two games with Carlton and Melbourne while Port Adelaide gets double billing at Perth’s new stadium
THERE is mixed treats for the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide with the double-up games in the AFL fixture released on Tuesday.

ADELAIDE will finally play Carlton in an AFL game at Adelaide Oval - and at home for the first time since 2010.
And there will be a match-up with defector Jake Lever at Adelaide Oval with Melbourne locked into two games against the Crows in the 2018 AFL home-and-away fixture that will be released on Tuesday morning.
Port Adelaide will have its impressive record in WA tested with two trips to the new 60,000-seat Perth Stadium next season.
The notable five “double-up” games for the SA-based AFL clubs were detailed to the Crows and Power on Monday in the lead-up to Tuesday morning’s fixture release.
Adelaide will have two grand final rematches with AFL premier Richmond, the standard two Showdowns with the Power, two games with preliminary finalist Greater Western Sydney - and two games against its major trade dealers, Melbourne and Carlton.
Lever, who left Adelaide after three seasons and 56 AFL games, will face his former Crows team-mates at Alice Springs on May 10 and later at Adelaide Oval.
Midfielder Bryce Gibbs will be part of the first Crows-Carlton game at Adelaide Oval - and first in Adelaide since Round 4, 2010 (April 17) when Gibbs was part of the Blues team that beat Adelaide by 48 points at Football Park.
Since then, there have been seven consecutive Adelaide-Carlton games in Melbourne - the past five at the MCG.
The Crows have avoided a double-up with Sydney for the 13th consecutive home-and-away season.
Port Adelaide will play the two WA-based clubs, West Coast and Fremantle, twice next season. The Power’s other double-up games are against 2017 elimination finalist Essendon, 2016 AFL premier Western Bulldogs and Adelaide.
The AFL fixture has the home-and-away season open with Richmond unfurling its premiership flag on March 22 at the MCG against Carlton.
Adelaide opens with the Friday Night Football clash on March 23 against Essendon at Etihad Stadium. Port Adelaide starts at Adelaide Oval with a Saturday twilight clash on March 24 against Fremantle.
Adelaide will finish the home-and-away season at Adelaide Oval.
Collingwood’s fall to 13th this season has delivered a softer double-up agenda for the Magpies. They have two games against Fremantle (14th this year), Carlton (16th) and Brisbane (18th of 18).
The fixture will be issued by the AFL at 9am SA time on Tuesday.
