A day after Crows star Taylor Walker stepped down as captain, he announces he and his wife are expecting a baby
It’s been a big off-season so far for Crows star forward Taylor Walker. And a day after stepping down as co-captain, he has revealed his joy at the news he and wife Ellie are expecting.

A day after he stood down from the Crows’ captaincy, Taylor Walker has revealed his joy that he will become a father in two months.
Walker announced on radio this morning that his wife, Ellie, is due to give birth in November.
Speaking on Triple M’s Roo & Ditts program, Walker said he was excited they were having a child.
“Ellie and I are about to start a new family … my wife is pregnant,” he said.
“We have a new little one on the way.
“We’re not due until November, a few months … We’re not finding out (the gender of) what we’re having.”
Walker, 29, also talked about his relief at relinquishing the captaincy at Adelaide, which he has held for the past five seasons.
“I wanted to finish off my career with a bit of enjoyment and freedom,” Walker said.
“(It was a) little bit of relief, got a bit teary with some nice messages and phone calls.
“For five years, I’ve been able to lead this football club … I takeaway that C next to my name but continue to be Taylor Walker and lead as best I can.”
It’s lovely news for Walker and Ellie — who surprised friends and family with a wedding in March.
The couple were devastated after losing an unborn baby late last year and Walker said they were overjoyed to be pregnant again.
“It’s getting very exciting,” he said.
