Zach Merrett a bargain, Riley Bonner’s time is up and more in the Round 6 Rage Trades

WHAT a difference a few weeks can make. Zach Merrett’s first three weeks were awful but the Essendon star is back in form and a must-have at a bargain price. THE BEST TRADE INS AND OUTS

AS USUAL, there have been some ups and downs this round with some popular players going huge and some others putting themselves into consideration for a rage trade.

Our SuperCoach expert Anthony Hack looks at who we should be considering dumping this week and who’s running hot.

BOOT HIM

MICHAEL WALTERS

Unfortunately picked up a knee injury and looks like he’ll miss some time. Has had a very good season thus far, but has also played more forward last week and this week before his injury.

ZACH TUOHY

Started off the season well but has turned out a couple of low scores last week and this with low disposal efficiency being the main contributing factor, and he unfortunately gave away a 50m penalty late in the game this week that resulted in a goal which further impacted his score, putting him down to just 25.

DAYNE ZORKO

If you haven’t gotten rid of him yet, you probably should. Another sub-50 score this week and he is in all sorts of form trouble.

JACK BILLINGS

His score this week would have been even worse if it wasn’t for a late goal. Billings has been playing predominantly forward in a team not doing well and his scores are suffering as a result. Trade him if you haven’t already.

RILEY BONNER

Bonner looks to have earned all the money he can and its time to cash him in.

ANDREW McGRATH

Hasn’t lived up to the hype this season, and I’m not sure if it’s worth persisting any longer.

BUY HIM

LACHIE NEALE

Hasn’t had a great season so far, but stepped up in a big way this week with a score of 151. Is this a sign of things to come?

ADAM TRELOAR

Had his highest score of the season so far with a 149, but has been quite consistent so far with only one double-figure score back in Round 1.

MARCUS BONTEMPELLI

Had a great game on Friday night, scoring 145 and coach Luke Beveridge said post game that they have found a better balance now for him between midfield and forward, meaning more scores like this may be coming.

PATRICK CRIPPS

Had two poor weeks by his standards in rounds four and five but was tagged by two of the better taggers in the league those weeks, and then broke away from the shackles and scored a whopping 143. Close to a must-have player for your midfield.

JACK MACRAE

One of the best performers all season and continued with 141 points this round.

TOM MITCHELL

Scored his average - 126 - exactly this week and his price probably wont drop much more than it is right now, so its probably time to get him if you want him.

ZACH MERRETT

Scored 111 this week to continue his form resurgence of the last few weeks. If you didn’t bring him in last week, get him straight away because his price wont get any lower from here.

SHANE SAVAGE

Savage put last week’s poor game behind him, getting back up to a score of 107 this week to see him reassert himself as one of the best defenders this season so far.

MATT CROUCH

Probably wait another week for his price to drop even further, but it was good to see Crouch return to the side with a hundred first up.

ELLIOT YEO

That Round 3 score of 27 looks to be a serious blip, given Yeo’s strong form across the rest of the season so far. Looks a very solid option down back.
