FORGET the result. The real numbers we all want are here.

It’s time to dive into the SuperCoach numbers.

Who starred and who struggled in Richmond’s commanding JLT Series win over Essendon in Wangaratta.

The Tigers were led by Josh Caddy, who showed he may be ready to take his scoring output to the next level in 2018.

But it wasn’t all good news, with popular rookie pick Jack Higgins one of the strugglers.

From limited game time, Dustin Martin was still … Dustin Martin.

Meanwhile, only one Bomber topped 100 points in the crushing defeat.

Take a look at the notable performances below and scroll down to see every score.

RICHMOND

Jack Higgins ($130,800, MID/FWD)

Some say he is a top rookie pick given his 145 point SuperCoach average from 33 underage games but be wary. The Tigers look likely to ease Higgins in AFL football and only gave him limited game time in their first JLT Series match.

Josh Caddy ($419,600, MID/FWD)

He might be a mid-price risk but if Josh Caddy is going to play like that every week, he is going to be worth every cent. Caddy’s game-high 136 points was a reminder this kid is more than just a forward and can win plenty of his own ball.

ESSENDON

Devon Smith ($439,100, FWD)

The former GWS forward might just thrive in his new Bombers colours and with a more prominent midfield role this season. His 26-disposal performance on debut, capped with a goal, certainly caught the eye.

Andrew McGrath ($388,400 DEF)

The move from the backline to the midfield didn’t exactly generate a flood of points for last year’s Rising Star winner. McGrath scored 65 points and you’d be wanting more than that for his $388,400 price tag. Watch him closely to see how he scores in JLT 2.
