SuperCoach market watch: Top scorers, trade tips after Round 9
THE planets are aligning. After nine weeks, is it time to get Patrick Dangerfield into our SuperCoach teams? We might have to get rid of the second-most popular player in the game to do it.

THE SuperCoach world has been watching and waiting since Round 1 — or, really, since prices for this year’s game were released in December last year.
And the wait may finally be over.

Is this the week we add Patrick Dangerfield to our teams?
The biggest scorer in the game has dropped almost $150,000 over the first nine rounds, vindicating the decision by many coaches to leave him out of their starting squads.
The issue for those brave coaches was always going to be when to get him — and how.
The planets have aligned for a Dangerfield trade this week. His average is 115 (120 over his
past three) and his break-even is 112, which means his current price of $601,800 could be the cheapest he gets all year.
His next three opponents are Carlton, Gold Coast and North Melbourne. We smell some big scores.
And this weekend may have answered the second part of the Danger trade question.
Tim Kelly is rookie of the year but his 48 points against Essendon illustrates that we can’t rely on him as a starting midfielder through to SuperCoach finals.
He also suffered his first price fall of the season. It was just $3300 but a break-even of 120 means he is set to lose more next week. It won’t be a Jack Billings-like crash but he’s probably not going to get to $500,000.
If you move now you only need $172,600 to make the jump from Kelly to Dangerfield, which can be obtained by trading in a midfield rookie like Bailey Banfield or Paddy Dow to bubble boy Ed Phillips.
But don’t trade Nick Holman if you can avoid it. After scoring 122 in China he should get above $350,000 and can provide handy cover during the major bye rounds.

CHAMPION DATA MARKET WATCH
Jake Lloyd
After amassing a career-high 36 disposals against the Hawks in Round 8, Lloyd eclipsed that tally with 41 disposals against the Dockers. He also had 35 uncontested possessions, two inside-50s and one goal from 90 per cent game time. Lloyd finished with a career-high 173 SuperCoach points to jump in price by $45,100.
Michael Hibberd
Hibberd continues to struggle, managing a season-low 48 SuperCoach points against Carlton. He had little impact on the game and was well held by Jed Lamb, finishing with 12 disposals, six uncontested possessions and three rebound-50s. Hibberd also gained just 191 metres, his fewest in any game this season.
Jack Macrae
Macrae’s purple patch continued after piling on 177 SuperCoach points against Adelaide Crows, of which 101 were scored in the first half. He thrived in the wet conditions, winning an equal career-high 25 contested possessions, along with 36 disposals, 10 clearances, 13 tackles and five score involvements. Macrae enjoyed a further price rise of $50,700.
YOUNG GUN: HUNTER CLARK
Clark finished with a season-high 82 SuperCoach points against Collingwood, spiking in price by $28,100. He hit the target with 15 of his 21 disposals, finishing with 15 uncontested possessions, three tackles and three inside-50s from 90 per cent game time. Clark’s first half was his most productive, recording 15 disposals and 55 points in that period.
