Rage trades: Who you need to get out of your SuperCoach team after Round 12
THANK goodness that’s over! Round 12 will go down as one of the toughest SuperCoach rounds of the past decade. But now, this is where the fun begins. It is now the perfect time to make some massive trades.
Supercoach
Don't miss out on the headlines from Supercoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
IN a decade of SuperCoach, I cannot think of a round where there was more carnage than this.
All of our planning around the byes amounted to nothing with so many popular players picking up injuries in the lead up to this week, or in the case of Jack Billings, simply being omitted.
As a result, most of us were forced into trades we wouldn’t have planned for, meaning we’ll be left with less to use for the remaining byes and the run home.

WHO STARRED? STATS, SUPERCOACH SCORES
Nevertheless, I bet there are some players you can’t wait to rage trade, and now there are lots more options of players to bring in who are bye free, which will make for some fun trading over the next two weeks.
We need something to pick us up after the weekend we’ve just had.
BOOT HIM
Michael Walters
Excluding the game where he was injured in the first quarter, he scored his worst score of the season this week with a 64. Added to this he has been reported and may miss a week before Fremantle’s round 14 bye.
Rory Lobb
Looked to be going ok with two hundreds from his last four games, but came crashing down in round 12 with just 37 points.
Dayne Beams
Another one to score just 37 after playing really well lately, scoring three hundreds in a row before this round.
Matt Crouch
Doesn’t have a bye this week, but this one is included just for me after I brought him in this week to avoid some donuts and ended up with him as captain, only to watch him score a 68 — his lowest score of the season outside of his injury affected round two.
Michael Hibberd/Christian Petracca
Another poor week for both of these players. If you have been waiting until Melbourne’s bye to get rid of either or both of these two, now you can rejoice in pressing that trade button!
BUY HIM
Tom Mitchell
Priced at $603k, averaging 124 and now bye free, Tom Mitchell has to be right up there in the plans of those without him.
James Sicily
Has proven to be one of the better forwards or backs this season and is still relatively cheap for his average of 105.
Kade Simpson
Priced under $500k with a break-even of just 75. Now is the time to jump on the veteran who is almost a certainty to remain in the top 6 defenders for the run home.
Matt Kreuzer
The best ruckmen of 2017 is back in form with three scores greater than 115 from his last four games. He has a break-even of just 40 and is super cheap at just $491k, a whopping $111k less than his starting price!

NAILED IT
Ben Higgins: Tom Doedee to score 100+ …
FAILED IT. But he was close, with an 82 in a great game played by the youngster.
Al Paton: Both Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn to score 120+ playing against each other …
FAILED IT. Neither managed to top triple figures in what would have been disappointing for anyone relying on them for captaincy after a failed VC selection.
Gil Gardiner: Isaac Heeney to score 150+ with 5 goals, 20 something possessions, 7 marks, 6 tackles, 7 clearances, 2 Frees Against and 3 Frees For …
FAILED IT. But he did star with the best score in his game with 134 points and would have been a good captain option considering the failures of several other popular choices.
