This time last year just one player was owned by more than 65 per cent of SuperCoach players. Twelve months later there are eight in the same category, with three players in more than 80 per cent of teams.

That means four in every five SuperCoach Stats users have selected Lachie Whitfield (83.7 per cent ownership), one-game wonder Marlion Pickett (82.3 per cent) and SuperCoach star Brodie Grundy (82.9 per cent). Leaving these players out of your side could cost you dearly.

The same can be said for dual Norm Smith medallist Dustin Martin (76.5 per cent) — who has dual-position status this season — and injury discounted Blue Sam Docherty (75.4 per cent). The pair round out the top five and loom as formidable selections in the forward line and defence respectively.

Midfield beasts Patrick Cripps (69.7 per cent) and Nat Fyfe (55.7 per cent) both feature in the top 10 after ranking in the top seven for average points in 2019.

Cats superstar Patrick Dangerfield was the most popular selection at the end of last season but losing his dual-position status has caused his ownership to dip significantly. He’s currently in 32.1 per cent of sides.

Another major slider is ball-magnet Lachie Neale, ranking as the 25th most selected player in SuperCoach 2020 despite being in 55 per cent of SuperCoach teams at the end of 2019.

SuperCoaches are split on clearance machine Tom Mitchell (32 per cent), who missed all of last season with a broken leg after averaging 129 points a game in 2018.

New Cat Jack Steven (43.1 per cent) and tackling machine Devon Smith (61.9 per cent) also come at a reduced price after missing large chunks of 2019. See the 30 most popular selections below — and start picking your team today!
