Herald Sun chief footy writer Mark Robinson reveals his 2019 SuperCoach side
I’m sick of finishing between third and sixth so it’s time for a change. This is the most audacious SuperCoach team I’ve ever selected. I’m not going with the pack this year, it’s all about risk.

This is the most adventurous, audacious SuperCoach team I’ve ever selected.
I’m sick of finishing between third and sixth.
For several seasons my SuperCoach team has been competitive — very competitive — but has lacked the edge to go all the way at the business end of the season.
You know the saying about insanity — well, I’m not going insane again.

This year, I’m not going with the pack. And I’m not going to die wondering.
Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn are no-brainers in the ruck. But they don’t come cheap, so I’ve had to pass on some stars including Nat Fyfe, who was No.1 in my Top 50.
Sorry Nat, but the value in the midfield is too good to ignore. Dustin Martin (No.2 in the Top 50) is just $563,800 and Steele Sidebottom ($551,700), Angus Brayshaw ($526,900) and Rory Sloane ($524,300) are all guns. Add a reborn Tom Rockliff and Grand Final hero Dom Sheed and good luck outscoring my midfield.
Josh Dunkley is a special and expect Crows Rory Sloane, Brodie Smith and Brad Crouch to remind us how good they are.
I had Joe Daniher at No.50 in the Top 50 and he makes a great fourth forward at just $277,800 - loose change for a guy who could kick 60 goals, if fit.
