The decision to part company with the experienced mentor follows an extensive consultation and review into the club's football performances.
"The process identified a number of areas that need to be addressed for our club to realise its potential with the calibre of the current playing group,'' a Panthers statement said.
"The South Adelaide Football Club will be in the position to do this with a new senior coach in 2014.''
Since Fuller's appointment, the Panthers have won 23 of 81 games. They have lost four games this year by more than 100 points, including a 117-point defeat to West Adelaide at Richmond Oval on Saturday.

They face Sturt at Unley Oval on Sunday and have the bye in the final round.
Assistant coach Kym Cobb is expected to be in charge against the Double Blues.
"I would like to wish the South Adelaide Football Club and all the fine people associated with it, every success for the future," Fuller said in a statement.
