Salisbury North's Shane Jordan gets six-game ban for striking in SAAFL division one grand final replay

ANOTHER Salisbury North player has been suspended over an incident stemming from the SAAFL division one grand final replay.

ANOTHER Salisbury North player has been suspended over an incident stemming from the SA Amateur Football League's division one grand final replay.

Shane Jordan was last night hit with a six-game ban (two games suspended) for striking Rostrevor Old Collegians opponent Sam Bridge during the September 27 game at Thebarton Oval.

It follows suspensions to Jordan's Hawks teammates Callum Hay and Leigh Stones last month.

Hay has been banned for life from the league after a six-game suspension for engaging in rough conduct and a nine-game suspension for making contact with the umpire.

Under SAAFL rules, players suspended for 12 or more matches are banned for life from the amateur league.

Stones copped a seven-game suspension for striking.

Former Salisbury North coach Eugene Warrior received a four-game ban for abusing an umpire in the same game.
