ROSTREVOR Old Collegians and Salisbury North will do it all again this Friday night after drawing their SA Amateur Football League division one grand final at Thebarton Oval.

Rossies blew a 20-point three-quarter-time lead and were left to rue inaccuracy in front of goal as they finished 9.15 (69) to the Hawks' 10.9 (69) on Saturday.

The sides - both chasing their first division one flags - will reconvene in only the ninth grand-final replay in the league since 1911, but the second this season.

It comes a fortnight after Woodville South and Kenilworth drew in the division five decider.

Rostrevor controlled the first half of the game but only led 3.11 to 3.4 at the long break.

It stretched its lead in the third quarter, only for the Hawks to storm home in the final term.

Paul Fantasia put Rostrevor up by a point in the game's closing stages.

But Salisbury North's Jamie Solly tied the scores shortly after thanks to a snap from 50m.

The siren sounded moments later.

"We had plenty of opportunities and in the end we managed to hold on," ROC coach Tom Wigley said.

"We will not dwell on the result, just treat it like a normal week in getting ready for Friday's replay."

Salisbury North coach Eugene Warrior said he was proud of players' effort.

"They had more opportunities early and we did not execute through the midfield, but we came home strong," Warrior said.

"We are good finishers.

"If we could have sneaked an extra 10 minutes we could have finished the game.

"We just have to get our first half right."

Brendan Littler was best for Rossies while Salisbury North captain Joseph Hay was the Hawks' standout.

The SA Amateur Football League division one grand final replay will be played at Thebarton Oval on Friday at 7pm.
