Port Adelaide has axed Boyd Woodcock and Riley Grundy after just one season each on the senior list – but is committed to redrafting them as rookies.
The Power announced their delistings on Tuesday – 12 months on from picking them at the national draft.
Neither of the duo have played an AFL game.
Small forward Woodcock, who was taken at pick 76 after playing in North Adelaide’s 2018 SANFL premiership, kicked 22 goals in 21 games for Port Adelaide Magpies this past season.

Grundy – the brother of 2020 Collingwood free agent superstar Brodie Grundy – featured in 14 matches, mainly as a tall defender.
Port football general manager Chris Davies said the club wanted to approach the upcoming draft with flexibility.
“Both Boyd and Riley are aware of this and have worked with us on this decision, putting the club’s needs first,” Davies said.
“As players, both boys have shown significant development in their football this year and we look forward to seeing more improvement when they return to Port Adelaide in 2020.”
Others clubs are able to sign Woodcock and Grundy as delisted free agents but if they do not, Port will pick them in this month’s rookie draft.
