Courtney Act is swapping out her heels for AFL boots for the first weekend of Halloween. The Australian entertainer celebrated spooky season by dressing up as “the only AFL player gay men know” – AFL superstar Bailey Smith – and the impression was uncanny.
Donning the Western Bulldogs guernsey (with Smith’s former number 6 swapped out with 666), a moustache and an “iconique mullet”, the TV star shared the snaps of their drag get-tup on Instagram. hinting at a “career change” along the way.
“Can’t kick a goal, but I can serve a look,” Act said, before confirming they weren’t taking a step towards becoming an AFL player but rather as a “drag king”.
Although Smith has since moved from the Western Bulldogs to Geelong, fans couldn’t help but admire Act’s “brilliant” recreation of the midfielder, with some thinking “it actually WAS him at first glance”.
One person said the costume “turned out better than we could’ve imagined”.
“Holy sh*tballs I really thought it was Bailey,” said another. “You chameleon!”
