AFL makes its much-anticipated return to Melbourne in Round 15, but it’s Thursday night’s blockbuster in Queensland that has the attention of the footy world.
The last time Brisbane hosted Geelong on its home Gabba turf was in last year’s preliminary final, which the Cats won en route to their grand final appearance against Richmond.
It preceded this season’s one-point thriller down at Kardinia Park, where Geelong triumphed by the narrowest of margins – thanks to a questionable umpiring non-call in the dying seconds.
Both teams are building a rivalry and are again pressing their premiership claims in 2021, with the midweek clash promising to be a mouth-watering one.
