AFL makes its much-anticipated return to Melbourne in Round 15, but it’s Thursday night’s blockbuster in Queensland that has the attention of the footy world.

The last time Brisbane hosted Geelong on its home Gabba turf was in last year’s preliminary final, which the Cats won en route to their grand final appearance against Richmond.

It preceded this season’s one-point thriller down at Kardinia Park, where Geelong triumphed by the narrowest of margins – thanks to a questionable umpiring non-call in the dying seconds.

Both teams are building a rivalry and are again pressing their premiership claims in 2021, with the midweek clash promising to be a mouth-watering one.

On Friday night, reigning premiers Richmond host struggling St Kilda in the first match at the MCG since early this season.

Can the Saints put a dent in the Tigers’ finals hopes, while keeping their own alive?

Saturday’s triple header kicks off in Tasmania with North Melbourne hosting Gold Coast at Blundstone arena, before footy again returns to Melbourne for the Pies-Dockers clash at Marvel, and the intriguing Dons-Dees encounter at the MCG.

Will it be Simon Goodwin’s ladder leaders or Ben Rutten’s young Bombers who take the four points?

Port Adelaide host Sydney in the last of Saturday’s games.

Then finally, GWS hosts Hawthorn at the MCG (yes, you read that right); the Bulldogs make the tough trip to Perth to face the Eagles; and the under-fire Blues face a beatable opponent in the Crows at Marvel.

David Teague will be desperate for his men to respond after last week’s disappointing showing.

Here’s who News Corp’s footy experts are tipping for Round 15.
