Melbourne’s bitter boardroom war has reignited, with fresh Federal Court action launched against newly installed Demons president Brad Green and other directors by axed club boss Glen Bartlett.
Just a week after the resignation of Melbourne president Kate Roffey, Bartlett has filed proceedings against Green and fellow board members David Robb, Sally Freeman and Janette Kendall. Roffey and recently retired Demons directors Steve Morris and Mohan Jesudason are also named as respondents.

A separate action has also been lodged by Bartlett against Demons vice-president David Rennick.
The court papers reveal Bartlett is being represented by top law firm Clayton Utz.
The long-running legal stoush relates to Bartlett’s murky exit as Melbourne president in April 2021 and a dispute over the club’s alleged off-field culture.
Bartlett had held crisis talks with AFL commission chairman Richard Goyder and ex-league boss Gillon McLachlan just weeks before being removed.
